Saint Remy de Provence is the gateway to the Alpilles and the Mas des Tourterelles is a short walk from the centre of town.

The town evokes the very essence of Provence with boulevards shaded by plane trees, fountains splashing in the many hidden squares inside the old town and the Wednesday market which spreads from the Place de la Republique down the myriad of narrow streets.

  • Les Baux de Provence : A spectacular citadel set amongst the white limestone outcrops of Les Alpilles
  • Arles : Capital of the Camargue and centre of the Spanish style of bull-fighting in the Roman arena.
    Avignon : City of the Popes dominated by the massive grandeur of the Palais de Papes and St Benezet's bridge.
  • Camargue : The romance of this wild delta can be discovered on horseback or by boat trip to see the famous white horses, black bulls and pink flamingos.
  • The Alpilles has a network of footpaths to explore including the Grand Randonee.
  • Provençal markets : somewhere in the region every day of the week.
  • Vineyards : The classic vineyards of the Cotes du Rhone lie an hour to the north, and the local domaines can be discovered throughout the Alpilles..
